From Bangkok, take Highway No.4 via Petchaburi, Prachuabkhirikhan and Chumporn and then Highway No. 41 heading south to Lang Suan, Chaiya and Thungsong District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, passing Khuankhanun District, Phatthalung Province before turning into Highway No. 414 to Hatyai, Songkhla. The total distance is 1,014 Kilometers.
Get on the bus at the southern bus terminal. Air-cinditioned bus are available in first, second and VIP classes. The travel time is abouth 12 -15 hours. There are more buses available from Bangkok – Hatyai than those from Bangkok – Songkok. There are many daily trains from Bangkok < Hua Lampong> to Hatyai,including rapid trains, special express train and sprinters. After arriving in Hatyai, one can take a van or taxi to Songkhla.
